The first Stand On A Better World Award recipients were honored at a dinner event, held at the Philadelphia Ritz-Carlton on November 17, 2005.
Former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno was the evening's featured speaker. In her presentation, she congratulated the winners, and Mannington, on such a unique program.
Ms. Bell, who founded Refuge International, was named the Grand Prize recipient. Mannington will donate $25,000 to her charity on her behalf. Ms. Tiernan and Ms. Trembath will each receive $10,000 for their charities.
