The 2007 Stand On A Better World award recipients were honored at a dinner event held at the Hotel DuPont in Wilmington, DE on November 15, 2007.
Keynote speakers included tennis great and pioneer Billie Jean King, who presented the national category award; and Emmy award-winning journalist Deborah Roberts who presented the global category award.

In her presentation, Billie Jean King addressed how national category recipient Debra Bonde's work transcribing materials into Braille fills a void that provides necessary tools and resources to blind children.

Deborah Roberts, in her introduction of global award recipient Nancy Press, spoke of how a vacation Nancy took to Mexico 20 years ago has led to educational and healthcare improvements for thousands in Mexico and Guatemala.

Olga Murray, last year’s grand prize recipient presented this year’s grand prize award to Barbara Drennen. Drennen’s work forming the Pediatric Interim Care Center in Kent, Wash.,has helped thousands of babies through drug withdrawal.
